The Paranormal
The study of the paranormal encompasses many diverse phenomenon including psychography, clairvoyance,
dermal optical perception, electronic voice phenomenon, recurrent spontaneous psychokinesis and telepathy just to
name a few. However hauntings or "things that go bump in the night" is my favorite area of the paranormal.

This image is titled "The Brown Lady". It was reportedly taken in 1936 in Raynham Hall, Norfolk, it purports
to show the celebrated Brown Lady of Raynham, who was known to haunt the house. Two photographers were taking
photographs of the interior of the hall when they saw a shadowy form gliding down an ancient oak staircase. They quickly
took a photograph, by flashlight, and the plate when developed revealed what appeared to be a hooded figure.Experts who
examined the plate could find no evidence of fraud.

This figure turned up unexpectedly on a photograph of the altar in Newby church, near Ripon,Yorkshire,
taken early in the 1960s by the vicar of the church. He saw nothing at the time he took the photograph, and it was only when
the film was developed that the "ghost" was revealed.The church, only built in 1870, has no ghost story attached to it, and no
one knows who or what the figure is, only that it would appear to be about 9 feet tall. The negative has been carefully checked,
and no evidence of film fault or fake could be found. In other cases, of UFO and psychic photography, film has been found to be
sensitive to "things"which are not within the range of vision of most humans.
